100 Percent Green Energy Certified

Richter has achieved 100 percent green energy certification!

In 2023, our green energy initiatives involving a combination of different technologies including our on-site solar Photo Voltaic cells and Hydro Power paid off in a big way.

Our solar PV cells, sophisticated in design and efficient in operation, have been pivotal in our green transformation, contributing a substantial 43% to our total energy needs. This shift towards harnessing the sun’s inexhaustible energy supply not only aligns with our global sustainability goals but also demonstrates the practicality and effectiveness of solar technology in an industrial context.

The remainder of our energy requirements, accounting for 57%, was met through hydropower supplied by EnBW ODR AG, a testament to our commitment to ensuring that every watt powering our operations is sourced from renewable origins.

The implementation of these green initiatives allowed us to reach an impressive milestone: we contributed 49% of our solar produced energy back to the grid as clean, sustainable power. This not only underscores our role as a responsible energy citizen, but also illustrates the potential for industrial entities to act as net-positive energy producers. It’s a compelling model of how businesses can operate in harmony with the planet, supporting the grid with additional renewable resources.

Our foray into renewable energy is not just about corporate responsibility; it’s about setting a precedent in our industry.
