We are currently seeking a System Administrator with spoken German OR English skills, a technical education, curiosity, and relevant experience to join our team in Germany.

As you will be responsible for the stability of operations for a company of 100+ people, your tasks will cover the full spectrum of infrastructure support:

• Ensuring IT Infrastructure Uptime: Your highest priority is guaranteeing the availability of all services, as well as monitoring network and server status.

• Software & OS Management: Installation, configuration, and regular updating of software. Installation and re-installation of operating systems (Windows/Linux) on workstations and servers.

• License Management: Managing software licenses, tracking subscription expiration dates, timely ordering of renewals, and ensuring compliance with software legality.

• Server Administration & Virtualization: Configuration and maintenance of Windows Server and Linux-based servers; management of virtual machines (VMware environment).

• Service Management: Implementation and support of various Open Source solutions, administration of internal file servers and mail servers.

• Security & Data Protection: Performing regular backups, testing data recovery procedures, and timely installation of system updates and security patches.

• Office Technical Support (Helpdesk): Supporting user workstations, configuring PCs, printers, scanners, and other peripherals.

• Network & Surveillance: Configuring the local area network (LAN), Internet connection, VPNs, as well as maintaining internal video surveillance cameras.

• Experience & Education: Higher or specialized secondary technical education; 2+ years of experience as a System Administrator.

• Language Skills: Spoken German OR English (sufficient for communication in an international team).

• Technical Knowledge:

  • Solid knowledge of Linux and Windows Server (including deployment and migration processes).

  • Understanding of corporate software licensing principles.

  • Experience with virtualization technologies (preferably VMware).

  • Understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and mail services.

  • Experience with backup systems.

• Personal Qualities: Systems thinking, ability to react quickly to critical situations, responsibility, and a willingness to learn.

• English speaking environment, any other language is a plus
